ISEDEF URGES MOZAMBIC YOUTH TO ACTIVELY ENGAGE IN PROCESSES TO DEFENSE NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY
The appeal comes on the occasion of the 3rd edition of the open day for Matola Secondary School. Youth is the driving force for a nation's social and economic development, with their energy, innovation and unique perspective, young people play a crucial role in building a more prosperous and sustainable future.
Who says this is Brigadier David Munongoro, Commander of the Reservist Command who spoke during the lecture at the Higher Institute of Defense Studies Lieutenant-General Armando Emílio Guebuza, during the 3rd edition of the open day for students at Escola Secundária da Matola, Maputo Province.
Participants say that the lecture on the theme: “ISEDEF contributed to the development of patriotism in Mozambican youth” brought gains to the student community, by presenting challenges and recommendations for their contribution in matters of defending sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The open day was attended by students from the Senior Officer Promotion Course, from Escola Secundária da Matola and members of the ISEDEF Command. The event is part of the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of National Independence.
